Magical Lee – Cosplay Co-producer and Cosplay Contest Host

Lee, also known as Magical Lee, is an LGBTQ+ cosplayer who is honored to be returning to Fandom Fest as a guest and co-producer of cosplay affairs. This long-time nerd is an experienced competitor, contest judge, event host, panelist and content creator. Performance and foam crafting are his forte. His cosplays derive from wherever his heart takes him, whether it be anime, video games or Dungeons and Dragons related media. He also enjoys utilizing cosplay to fundraise for charities such as The Trevor Project and St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
It is Lee’s dearest passion to share the magic of cosplay- to entertain, to create, to educate and to have fun! He upholds that in the world of cosplay, everyone is welcome and anyone can be anything they dream to be.

AshleyIsALot – Cosplay Contest Judge and Special Guest

Ashley is a NY based cosplayer, prop builder, gamer and cosplay guest. She has experience competing and judging in numerous contests. She loves playing with texture and challenging herself to learn new skills for each cosplay build.
Ashley is best known for her video game-based characters, combining her passion for gaming and cosplay. Her favorite thing about the cosplay community is how inclusive and helpful it is. She wants to do her part in maintaining that and helping new people get into the hobby she loves.
 The Ashleyisalot name comes from years of being told she is “a lot” or “too much.” A trait that the cosplay community has welcomed. Click here to check out their social media!

Salíth – Cosplay Contest Judge and Special Guest

Salíth is a cosplayer from New York and has been sewing and attending conventions for more than 15 years. She first got into cosplay in 2008 where she attended Anime Boston. Since then she has created cosplays from anime, books, movies and original concepts. Some of her favorite creations include her original designs of Sauron from the Silmarillion and Belle from Beauty and the Beast.

SaratogaCosplay – Cosplay Contest Judge and Special Guest

Lauren (SaratogaCosplay on Instagram) is a local cosplayer who is thrilled to be a part of Fandom Fest 2024!  She enjoys cosplaying as characters from her favorite movies, comics and television shows.  Favorites include Wanda Maximoff, Pennywise, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Satine from Moulin Rouge, Chrissy from Stranger Things, Starlight from The Boys, Black Widow, Kim Possible, Catwoman, Phoenix and Rouge from X-men, Elsa, Rapunzel and Ariel.  She loves crafting cosplays but also has a passion for prop-making and gadgets.  So far, her favorite prop is her Darkhold, which took over 40 hours to build, it even lights up & smokes! She also enjoys cosplaying for charities and various fundraisers.

Lothlorien Cosplay – Cosplay Contest Judge and Special Guest

Hannah has spent the last ten years finding joy and friendship through being a cosplayer. She has always had a great love for sewing and playing dress up. She is so happy to have found a community where she can grow and thrive creatively. 
She cosplays from all genres with particular love for sci-fi, fantasy, and musical theatre. Some of her favorite cosplays are Eda the Owl Lady, Avatar Kyoshi, Barbie, Galadriel, Princess Leia, Captain Janeway, and her original design inspired by “SIX: The Musical.”
Hannah is so excited to be joining the Fandom Fest cosplay team this year and is looking forward to seeing the amazing creativity our cosplay community brings!

8armedSpidey – Special Guest

Your friendly neighborhood Spiderman is making another appearance at Fandom Fest!

Frank (the man behind the mask) has been our local Upstate New York Spiderman for over 10 years! Not only does he cosplay the famous wall crawler, but he also cosplays as tons of other anime characters. In addition to cosplay Frank runs the social media accounts for two popular podcasts, This is Rad! and Everything is Scary! You can also catch Frank every week hosting his horror themed live show on Instagram called the Graveyard Shift, where he discusses the weird, strange and bizarre side of horror and the genre as a whole! It’s his absolute joy to be joining us Fandom Fest!
